By Nirmala Perera (@Nim_Perera), Ashley Mackay (@ACSEP_) and Adam Castricum (@ACastricum)

On behalf of the 2018 Conference Committee, we are thrilled to invite you to attend the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians (ACSEP) Annual Scientific Conference. We would like to extend a special invitation to postgraduate students. As future leaders in sports and exercise medicine, you will have the opportunity to present your research in front of clinicians to fast-track knowledge translation to make a greater impact of your work. There will be numerous opportunities to connect with world leading experts, and social functions with many networking opportunities and much more.

The conference will be held from February 7-13, 2018 in sunny Surfers Paradise in Australia, just before the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. Given that the Conference precedes the largest sporting event in Australia in 2018, we have chosen the theme of “High Performance Medicine” as High Performance principles should apply not only to the elite sportspeople we care for but also all members of the greater community, whether they are recreational athletes, weekend warriors or the inactive wishing to discover the many benefits of physical activity.

The faculty of pre-eminent international and local experts will deliver cutting-edge information on High Performance Medicine and latest research innovations in implementation will be showcased. To cater to all delegates, we will offer a broad range of Stream options and Workshops.

This is a unique opportunity for the global Sport and Exercise Medicine community to meet face to face in the ideal environment of magnificent golden beaches.
