Winner announcement from the 2013 BJSM cover competition

Two of our favourite things about the BJSM cover competition is delivering prizes, and learning more about our blog community members.

Apologies we can’t send books to everyone who voted. Keep trying; maybe next year is your year. In the meantime, here are the 2013 Cover Competition book prize winners:Bernard with Team USA

Bernard Condevaux, PT, SCS, CSCS, is a Physical Therapist in Denver. He has worked in cycling as part of the US Olympic Sports Medicine team for 3 Pan American Games (2003, 2007, 2011) and 3 Olympic Games (2004, 2008, 2012). He is EXTREMELY excited to have won Brukner and Khan’s Clinical Sports Medicine, 4th Ed because he is always eager to learn, and enjoys the twitter feed (@BJSM_BMJ), podcasts, and editorials from BJSM. He told us his favorite thing about the BJSM blog is “the varied and relevant topics and research which allow me to stay up-to-date with the latest sports medicine information.”

Christa Janse van Rensburg is a Professor and Head of Sports Medicine at University of Pretoria, South Africa. Her Doctorate degree was on the “Effect of exercise on autonomic function, disease activity and functional capacity in females suffering from rheumatoid arthritis”. She is excited to have won The IOC Manual of Sports Injuries: An Illustrated Guide to the Management of Injuries in Physical Activity, Edited by Roald Bahr as she is passionate about expanding her Sports Medicine knowledge. She appreciates how the BJSM blog profiles a range of topics and helps her network with colleagues.
