This post is for a Postdoctoral Researcher to work on a Wellcome-funded project entitled, “’But why is that better?’: An investigation of what applied philosophy and ethics can bring to quality improvement work in health care”. The post will suit a doctoral graduate in social sciences or humanities with interests in interdisciplinary scholarship and healthcare. The person appointed will be interested in conceptual and ethical issues and their practical manifestations in, and implications for, health care quality improvement, and be capable of contributing to both literature-based and qualitative research in the area (including securing ethics permissions, data management, and data analysis).

They will work collaboratively with the other project team members, Alan Cribb and Vikki Entwistle, and assume responsibility for delivering key elements of the project. They will participate in writing and publication activities including having the opportunity to lead on journal articles.
