I am Professor at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), Brazil. I am a physical therapist with a PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences, and I love to play volleyball.

What is your main area of research / clinical expertise?

My main areas of research are clinical biomechanics and, more recently, Paralympic sports.

What is your motivation to be a member of the BOSEM team?

The opportunity to learn with researchers who inspire me and hopefully contribute to BOSEM to reach the next step.

What is a work-related accomplishment that you’re really proud of?

Becoming the head of the Rehabilitation Sciences Graduate Program at UFMG so early in my professional career.

Who has influenced you most when it comes to how you approach your work?

Professor Sérgio Fonseca, who was my PhD supervisor and now is a friend and a colleague at my Department.

What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?

By going for a run and having some wine depending on the day of the week.
