Bio:
Krish Ragunath is Professor of GI Endoscopy, Head of Endoscopy service and Consultant Gastroenterologist at the Nottingham University Hospitals. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and London.He is the BSG Secretary for International affairs, advisor for National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) interventional procedures subgroup and independent external advisor for the Welsh National Bowel Cancer screening programme complex polyp MDT.

He sits in the BSG Endoscopy committee and research network steering group. Professor Ragunath is a core member and co-director of the International Working Group on Classification of Oesophagitis (IWGCO) Board. Other international activity includes Chair of the World Endoscopy Organization Research committee.  He is Associate Editor of “Digestive Endoscopy” journal, member of the Editorial Board for ‘Endoscopy’ and ‘Gastrointestinal Endoscopy’ journals. He was the recipient of the BSG Hopkins Endoscopy Prize 2010.

His clinical and research interests include advanced endoscopic imaging of the GI Tract, in particular Barrett’s oesophagus and minimally invasive endoscopic therapy of early GI neoplasia.
