In an increasingly digital and molecular world, it can be difficult for patients to navigate healthcare systems and keep up to date with research opportunities and changing management guidelines. In our shared partnership with Lynch Syndrome UK, we have identified what is important for Lynch syndrome carriers at risk of familial cancer. We have used this to develop, launch, and run a self-management app and assessed its utility and acceptability. As we move towards 21st century healthcare for pharmacogenetics and personalised medicine on the high street, we present how we have placed the patient at the centre of their ongoing care.
