Journal Impact Factor Grows

We are delighted to announce that for the 2nd consecutive year, Tobacco Control is the Number 1 Tobacco-Related Specialty journal in the Public, Environmental and Occupational Health category of the Journal Citation Reports with an Impact Factor of 5.150* (ranked #3 in the social science citation index and #7 in the science citation index).
We truly appreciate the loyalty and hard work of our readers, authors, reviewers and Editorial Board in helping us with this achievement.

The Impact Factor is, of course, only one metric, and there are many other factors by which we measure our impact, including the use of work published in the journal for on-the-ground policy work, the journal’s geographic reach in terms of covering the global epidemic, and the journal’s role in fostering fresh lines of discourse in the field. With your help, we will continue to stay competitive and sustain the tradition of publishing work from the leading edges of science, policy analysis and advocacy.
