Say you have to go

Say you have to go,
Tell me, then I shall know.
We left unsaid
Always the words crouched
Hidden jungle cats
Between the forest trees of triviality
Constructed of words and nothings
That we pretended
Meant so much
Whilst all we could see
Were eyes glowing in the reflection
Of our fears.

And now it seems that the night has come
And I’ve seen -the day has had it’s time.
When the sun recedes
There is no regret in the night,
It holds only rest
And you have earned
That peace.
And all I want to hear
Is that you know
That I want nothing for you
But to hear
That
You
Know
You must go.
