{"id":105,"date":"2010-05-17T09:22:42","date_gmt":"2010-05-17T09:22:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.bmj.com\/sti\/?p=105"},"modified":"2010-05-17T09:29:41","modified_gmt":"2010-05-17T09:29:41","slug":"training-for-sexual-health-and-hiv-gets-the-online-treatment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bmj.com\/sti\/2010\/05\/17\/training-for-sexual-health-and-hiv-gets-the-online-treatment\/","title":{"rendered":"Training for sexual health and HIV gets the online treatment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Harriet Smith at Munro and Forster, on behalf of the British Association for Sexual Health and HIV ( BASHH):<\/p>\n<p>A free and comprehensive online resource supporting specialist training in sexual health and HIV was launched today (22<sup>nd<\/sup> April) at the Second Joint Conference of BASHH with the British HIV Association.<\/p>\n<p>eHIV-STI, e-Learning for Sexual Health and HIV, has been developed by the British Association for Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH) in partnership with the Royal College of Physicians and Department of Health e-Learning for Healthcare.\u00a0 It has been designed to reflect the UK sexual health and HIV specialist medical training curriculum and is suitable for all those involved in treating and supporting people with sexually transmitted infections.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Jackie Sherrard, Clinical Project Lead said, \u2018With increasing numbers of healthcare professionals involved in the management of STIs, it is important that we continue to provide high quality and innovative education and training resources. eHIV-STI is one such resource that we are proud to offer.
