We shared an eclipse,
\nOnce in a lifetime
\nThe light fails to shine when it should be shining,
\nWe all laugh at the idiosyncrasy of hoping for a cloudless day
\non a day momentarily synonymous with night,
\nYet such is the cosmic wrong of the moment,
\nIndisputable observations of
\nBirds stilling their song
\nInsects cease their chirp and
\nHumans stare
\nOur primitive ancestors
\nWatch from modern eyes.<\/p>\n

One day I will have my
\nOnce in a lifetime moment,
\nYet no stranger will stop what they are doing
\nNo birds will cease to sing.
\nI ask only one thing
\nPlease don\u2019t look,
\nI wish to be remembered in the light
\nDon\u2019t watch my eclipse.<\/p>\n
