Pah!\u00a0<\/u><\/u>
\nDying, it\u2019s hardly fashionable, is it?\u00a0<\/u><\/u>
\nIt\u2019s like it is all the rage\u2026<\/u><\/u>
\n(That was a Dylan Thomas reference, in case you missed it),<\/u><\/u>
\nBut it\u2019s hardly vogue, is it?\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

I mean, who can take it seriously?\u00a0<\/u><\/u>
\nOne moment, alive!\u00a0<\/u><\/u>
\nThe next – dead.\u00a0<\/u><\/u>
\nEven auto correct would rather I spelt Read<\/u><\/u>
\nThan Dead.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

What a laugh, a joke, a nothing,<\/u><\/u>
\nI can hardly take it seriously,<\/u><\/u>
\nI\u2019m sorry, I\u2019m too unique.\u00a0<\/u><\/u>
\nNo.<\/u><\/u>
\nI\u2019m afraid it\u2019s life for me.\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

You can go now.\u00a0<\/u><\/u>
\nAu\u2019 revoir, off you go,<\/u><\/u>
\nShoo.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

Are you still here?<\/u><\/u>
\nStop looking at me like that,<\/u><\/u>
\nIt\u2019ll do no good, I\u2019m going nowhere.\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

I think I\u2019ll take a nap now,<\/u><\/u>
\nGood bye,<\/u><\/u>
\nSee you tomorrow.<\/u><\/u>
\nSo tired.<\/u><\/u>

A note by the author: it had been a very long week of conversations when this poem came, unbidden, in to my mind. It arrived fully written by an unseen editor and unlike almost everything I write ordinarily it has stayed in its original state without alteration, for that I apologise. As with all forms of art, even pale imitations like mine, I feel it is for the reader to interpret but I hope that it brings forth an emotion and that that emotion helps those who read it find a moment of reflection, as I did when I wrote it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
