Gaps in education availability and quality continue to grow, and the pandemic\u2019s trauma will follow today\u2019s K-12 students well into their adult lives. His scholarly work focuses on Venice, the Crusades, and the Mediterranean World. He\u2019s the author of\u202f<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.psupress.org\/books\/titles\/978-0-271-06507-6.html\"><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Sacred Plunder: Venice and the Aftermath of the Fourth Crusade<\/span><\/i><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u202f(Penn State University Press, 2015).
