Screening for these deficits can be done by asking a patient and their caregiver to complete the TAND Checklist. Our study compared the use of this checklist with screening neurocognitive tests such as the Symbol Digit Modalities Test. We recruited adults and adolescents with TSC and mild, moderate or no intellectual disability. We found that screening neurocognitive tests may be beneficial in detecting unrecognized neurocognitive deficits in people with TSC. These deficits may be related to a person\u2019s TSC but also their epilepsy and medications.
