Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) have identified a number of AUD-associated variants, including those in alcohol metabolism genes. It is important to understand where and how these genetic variants may modulate gene expression, making individuals more vulnerable to AUD. In this work, we identified five AUD-associated tissues. We applied a \u201cMega-analysis of Odds Ratio\u201d algorithm to prioritize a consensus set of AUD genes from the current multi-dimensional evidence underlying the interactive effect of genetic and epigenetic factors on AUD-associated tissues. Our study provides important insight into the molecular mechanism of AUD and potential target genes for AUD treatment.
