I look forward to bringing a medical perspective on mental health and safeguarding in youth sports.<\/p>\n<p>For me, figure skating was a safe place growing up, which significantly influenced my research goals towards creating positive and healthy sports experiences for all (especially children and adolescents)! I hope that by joining the BOSEM team, I\u2018ll be able to contribute to improving the field.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><strong>What is a work-related accomplishment that you\u2019re really proud of?<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>I\u2019m really proud of initiating my research career. I wanted to write my masters thesis about figure skating, and with help from a physician at the Swedish Figure Skating Federation, I initiated planning a study. I then got in contact with my main supervisor \u2013 who proposed to aim for a larger project \u2013 an opportunity I didn\u2019t even know existed!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Who has influenced you most when it comes to how you approach your work?<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>I\u2019m greatly influenced by my research group and love that we have a multi-professional and interdisciplinary team, contributing to continuous rapid progress on my learning curve. I\u2019m also very proud of my PhD supervisors, who constantly influence and encourage me on challenging myself and think outside the box. \ud83c\udf1f<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><strong>What\u2019s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Have a long talk over a nice dinner.
