In a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bmj.com\/cgi\/content\/extract\/338\/apr30_3\/b1791\">BMJ editorial<\/a>, Richard Coker argues that, \u201cas the virus is present in several countries, trying to contain it is probably not feasible any more. Efforts should now focus mainly on mitigation\u2026 Poorer countries are most vulnerable because they have underdeveloped health systems, few anti-viral drugs and are likely to be at the end of the queue for a vaccine\u201d. <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/life-style\/health-and-wellbeing\/health-news\/students-get-antiviral-drugs-after-another-flu-outbreak-1677102.html\">The Independent<\/a><\/em> echoes this and adds that, \u201cthe virus could already have spread into countries with less developed surveillance systems and remained undetected\u201d. <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.medicalnewstoday.com\/articles\/148380.php\">Medical News Today<\/a><\/em> speculates about, \u201cwhat might happen if the current swine flu virus becomes endemic in parts of the world where the bird flu virus is more common.
