However <a href=\"http:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/life-style\/health-and-wellbeing\/health-news\/bribery-ndash-the-key-to-better-public-health-1666833.html\">The <em>Independent<\/em><\/a> is more optimistic\u00a0saying: \u201cPaying people to change their habits works because it offers immediate rewards for behaviour that will only provide a health benefit in years
