This AMSSM themed issue will focus on the broad topic of <strong><span style=\"color: #800080\">&#8220;Care of the Female Athlete&#8221;.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #800080\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">(See the cover of the 2013 AMSSM special issue of BJSM at right).\u00a0<\/span><\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #800080\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-5144\" alt=\"untitled\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.bmj.com\/bjsm\/files\/2013\/07\/BJSM-Issue-1-Jan-2013-proof2-223x300.jpg\" width=\"223\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Manuscript submissions<\/strong> can be in any area of sports medicine\u00a0as it pertains to women in sport. Submission ideas can include but are not limited to those manuscripts that are cutting edge, highlight current areas of significant clinical interest or debate, focus on a novel treatment or training regimen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadline for original manuscripts\u00a0 is <\/strong><em id=\"__mceDel\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><b>September 15, 2013<\/b><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em id=\"__mceDel\">They must be submitted to the BJSM Editorial office by this date to be considered.\u00a0<\/em><em id=\"__mceDel\"><em id=\"__mceDel\">Instructions to authors can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/bjsm.bmj.com\/site\/about\/guidelines.xhtml\" target=\"_blank\">HERE <\/a>. Submissions should be sent to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/mc.manuscriptcentral.com\/bjsm\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/mc.manuscriptcentral.com\/bjsm<\/a>.<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em id=\"__mceDel\"><strong>In your cover letter,<\/strong> reference that the paper is being submitted for the AMSSM<\/em><em><span style=\"color: #000000\"> &#8220;<\/span><\/em><em id=\"__mceDel\">ease also send an email with the title of the paper you\u2019re submitting to both Dr. Joy\u00a0(<a href=\"mailto:eajslc@aol.com\" target=\"_blank\">eajslc@aol.com<\/a>)\u00a0and Dr. Logan\u00a0(<a href=\"mailto:kelsey.logan@cchmc.org\">kelsey.logan@cchmc.org<\/a>),\u00a0and copy BJSM Editor\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:karim.khan@familymed.ubc.ca\" target=\"_blank\">Karim Khan, MD, PhD<\/a>\u00a0(<a href=\"mailto:karim.khan@ubc.ca\" target=\"_blank\">karim.khan@ubc.ca<\/a>)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Submission of a manuscript for the themed issue does not guarantee acceptance.
