See <a href=\"http:\/\/bjsm.bmj.com\/content\/45\/12\/945.full\" target=\"_blank\">Chris Milne&#8217;s recent lucid description<\/a> of what happens in the sports medicine setting. However, we are in a phase where PATIENTS are DEMANDING MRs &#8212; as this article highlights toward the end.<\/p>\n<p>So the next implementation\/knowledge translation challenge is to education patients to value a careful history and physical exam. That won&#8217;t be easy in a time where technology is valued &#8211; at times to excess.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t forget the BJSM podcasts on imaging &#8211; with a particular emphasis on ultrasound&#8217;s increasing relevance <a href=\"http:\/\/podcasts.bmj.com\/bjsm\/2011\/01\/05\/what-is-the-future-in-sports-imaging-bruce-forster-david-hancock-and-john-orchard\/\" target=\"_blank\">in the clinic and on the sideline<\/a>. For those clinicians looking at ways of <a href=\"http:\/\/podcasts.bmj.com\/bjsm\/2011\/09\/05\/musculoskeletal-ultrasound-with-kim-harmon-and-sean-martin\/\" target=\"_blank\">training in US &#8211; click on the podcast with Sean Martin and Kim Harmon<\/a> from AMSSM.<\/p>\n<p>BJSM priortizes &#8216;hot topics&#8217; such as sports imaging, US in imaging.
