Søren Holm is a medical doctor and philosopher. He is Professorial Fellow in Bioethics at Cardiff Law School and involved in three Cardiff University research centres: Cardiff Centre of Ethics, Law and Society (CCELS); Cardiff Institute of Society, Health and Ethics (CISHE) and the ESRC Centre for the Economic and Social Aspects of Genomics (CESAGEN). He also holds a part-time Chair at the Section for Medical Ethics, University of Oslo.

He began writing on issues in medical ethics in 1986 and have since written on a wide range of different issues.
