In France the CME/CPD system became mandatory in 1996, but it was nerver enforced. The government recently passed a law with a new CPD system and we it's obvious that it's too sophisticated and doctors will be disappointed. CME/CPD will work in France in 2020 at the earliest! Revalidation/recertification in 2030! Anyway, we daily explain that everything is done for the patient! Hopefully, we'll be there in 2050 to have more to say.
