As a co-editor of the collection of papers Taylor & Francis has refused to publish, I just wish to mention that we (I myself and my fellow co-editors, i.e. Dr John De Cecco, Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the San Francisco State University and, until recently, the General Editor of the Journal of Homosexuality, and Dr Thomas Hubbard, Professor of Classics at the University of Texas in Austin--who joined a few months ago as the third co-editor) that the search is on now for an alternative publisher since it is virtually certain that T&F will not change its mind. If anyone can assist us in securing a new publisher, that would be greatly appreciated. I can be contacted at: beert.verstraete@acadiau.ca

In addition to the US Congress (not reputed by anyone to be an arbiter of science) condemning the Rind paper, the publisher of the paper, The American Psychological Association, (reputed by most to be at a high level of appraising science), regretted its publication. It announced a policy change. Henceforth, the implications of a study, as well as its methodolgy, would be considered in an editorial decision regarding publication.
