I read the article by Eva with great enthusiasm from start to end. My imagination bounced from red nose due to sun burn to red nose of charity fund raising program.
Fund raising is a painstaking event although it may be done with enjoyment. Where does such a large amount of charity fund go? The giver always feels that he has done some help to the needy. Unfortunately in a developing world like ours, there are many examples of charity fund misuse. We have to feed the neighbor who is hungry,in the mean time we need to be sure that the hungry guy got the food.
Finally i congratulate Eva for her excellent expression.

Maybe explaining a little bit about what red nose day involves in the articale might make it a better piece.
Just a small bit of that information might be helpful to others.
Very well written I might add.

Thank you Eva for explaining so eloquently. There was a short mention in the local press here in Cologne but I didn't find anything on TV.
Luckily I saw the whole show on BBC1 and 2. It's amazing just what happens and even better the fact that so far over £67 million has been donated.
Regards

Has a 'Red Nose Day' ever been so important?

A recent survey by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF)
found that the overwhelming majority of charities expect to see their revenues fall in the next 12 months as the recessionary impact proliferates to all economic sectors.

Whilst some charity shops may see retail sales increase, as consumers downgrade from popular high street brands to less fashionable but cheaper charity alternatives, regular donations by individuals are set to plummet as we reign in our spending. And that's makes one-off events like Red Nose Day cruial - particularly this year.

Disposalable income is falling, and we've all got less cash to splash around. I can understand that people will have to cut back on making regular commitments to charities as they focus on preserving their own standard of living. But as we watch unemployment and consequently the numbers in need rise, is this not the very moment when we should dig deepest for charity? I'm not a saint and I don't regularly donate to charities, but I'm pretty sure that I'll put my hand in my pocket this friday.

Wouldn't it be great if this year, despite all that's going on in the economy around us we did something special and broke some Red Nose Day records?

And don't forget to put on that Red Nose Eva...
