As a Foundation set up to help small charities fundraise, the FSI may be of interest to you. One of the ways we help small charities is by hosting fundraising initatives for them to ease the burden on their resources. Currently this includes the small charity car draw, where small charities can sell £2 tickets to win a Fiat 500 and take 95.4% of the ticket sale. You can sell paper tickets or online tickets. Take a look at http://www.everyclick.com/using-everyclick/charity-car-draw if you are interested. 370 UK charities are already taking part.

Further to my blog above, donations to Changing Faces, the BMA's charity of the year, may be sent to Hugh Townsend or Ann Nicola at the BMA Staff Social Club, BMA House, Tavistock Square, London WC1H 9JP. Cheques should be made out to 'The BMA Staff Social Club'. Just think how much would be raised if every BMA member were to donate half a day's pay!

Thank you for encouraging donations to non-profits and small businesses! I think its worth mentioning that some of the smallest charities often have opportunities to make some of the largest impacts. For instance CPR training and automated external defibrillator (AED Defibrillator) organizations can actually save lives by properly deploying AED units throughout the community. Small organizations are often used to working harder than large, stable organizations due to limited resources and the feeling of "being against the wall." Interestingly, I've found that small charities are often run by their original founders - indicating that the original passion behind their focus remains intense.
