The first Archives of Disease in Childhood twitter journal club was last month and it was a great success.
We had around 40 people involved in the hour-long twitter chat (#ADC_JC) – it was engaging and exciting to be involved in an online discussion with so many paediatric health professionals.
For July’s #ADC_JC we are hoping to keep the momentum going and get even more people involved.
This month, we’ve decided to pick a paper for the purposes of refreshing our critical appraisal skills. These are essential skills for us all to have and sometimes we forget the systematic process involved in analysing a paper.
We’re going to be discussing this paper by Stutchfield et al about the adverse effects of antenatal steroids. The paper will be used as a framework to upskill on our critical appraisal techniques. So, for this reason we’d warmly encourage you to join us even if the paper isn’t directly relevant to your day to day work.
